At some time a previous owner has written "Maxine Du Camp" on the back of this card, but the mounting style and the numbering on the negative seem to fit in with other Frith views, although his name is not scratched onto the negative.
Ray Norman has suggested that it is probably by Felix Bonfils. He believes that Bonfils' images were used in 1856 - proved popular - and Frith was dispatched to provide a cheaper series without having to pay Bonfils.
